Mid May we loaded up Big White with all of our handmades, filled the tank, stopped for coffees and headed north on the QE2. The sky was blue and the air was warm. Along the way we saw THE cutest diner on the side of highway in Bowden and made mental notes for date nights with our dudes. We had a REALLY BAD mix CD playing that had the most random collection of music. It had over 100 songs on it and we decided then and there that we needed to delegate 'musical entertainment' to one of us. There's a quick clip of Mindy and Nicole singing along to Hootie and the Blow Fish on our Instagram. Its gold. especially the air drumming. Go watch.
It was our second time being a vendor with Little Deer, and the Springtime Shopping Affair did not disappoint. There was over 55 MAJORLY TALENTED artisan vendors set up. We knew some of the other vendors from previous markets together (or we stalk their Instagram) and some were brand new to us! Its always fun to get our table set up quick and walk around to meet the other makers before the doors open to the general public. Its also a nice way to shop without the crowds. Inside trade secret right there. The venue was a mini mall/church set up. Sounds weird, we know, but it totally worked and the people flow was ideal. There were food trucks in the parking lot and a local greenhouse was set up outside selling produce! Also, THEY FED US! How many other markets or venues feed you Filipino food for lunch?!?! Amazing.
At the end of the market we packed up and headed home. The sky was still an amazing cloudless blue and we wanted to take some road trip pics. We found a dirt range road and pulled off. You can see some of our pictures below!
Overall we had a fabulous day and perhaps we will see you at Little Deer in the fall!
